One of the great weaknesses of modern evangelism is that it fundamentally misrepresents God, man and the nature of sin. The Scriptures are clear that man is dead in sin. This doesn’t mean he’s not physically alive, but it does mean he is only capable of choosing according to his sinful nature. The words used by Scripture are not unclear. All this to say that fallen men are incapable of choosing spiritual life. The Scriptures make great to do about the need for spiritual life and from where that life come. We are effectually called by God, through the means of the preaching and teaching of the word. Those who are called are brought to faith and put their hope and confidence in Christ.

In today’s show, Tyrell and Randall Klynsma, mission pastor at Omaha Reformed Church author of The Complete Gospel: Biblical Faith as Summarized in the Creeds of the Early Church and the Heidelberg Catechism to talk about what the Bible and the early Christian creeds teach about the gospel.
