Episode 6: Evangelism
/

Evangelism is to present Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit to sinful people, in order that they may come to put their trust in God through him, to receive him as their Saviour, and serve him as their King in the fellowship of his church. If we want to define it simply, we could say that New Testament evangelism is communicating the gospel. Anyone who faithfully relates the essential elements of God’s salvation through Jesus Christ is evangelising. This is true whether your words are spoken, written, or recorded, and whether they are delivered to one person or to a crowd.

Episode 4: Missions
/

Missions is the church’s sending out of missionaries (the sent ones) to pioneer the church among peoples who otherwise have no access of the gospel. By studying the apostles’ work in the New Testament, we learn that missionaries are focused on evangelising, planting churches, establishing elders in the churches, setting the churches in order, and remaining in contact with churches to offer guidance.

Episode 2: Expository Preaching

In expository preaching, the message finds its sole source in Scripture. The message is extracted from Scripture through careful exegesis. The message preparation correctly interprets Scripture in its normal sense and its context. The message clearly explains the original God-intended meaning of Scripture. The message applies the Scriptural meaning for today.

Episode 1: Inerrancy

Episode 1: Inerrancy
/

The authority of Scripture is a key issue for the Christian church in this and every age. Those who profess faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are called to show the reality of their discipleship by humbly and faithfully obeying God’s written word. To stray from Scripture in faith or conduct is disloyalty to our Master. Recognition of the total truth and trustworthiness of holy Scripture is essential to a full grasp and adequate confession of its authority.

In the pilot episode of Table Talk with Tyrell, our host is joined by Lance Laughton, coordinator of the Baptist Northern Association, as they discuss the topic of inerrancy and related subjects.
