Episode 40: Know Your Creed

It’s a throwback to Episode 1 of Table Talk as Lance Laughton, area co-ordinator of the Baptist Northern Association, rejoins Tyrell on the show. Lance and Tyrell discuss the importance of churches and believers knowing what they believe, what they don’t believe, and why. Doctrine is more than merely theoretical, and while creeds and confessions are important and helpful, it is crucial that churches and believers know truth more deeply than merely being able to quote a document.

God designed human beings as thinkers. The same God inspired the writers of the Old and New Testaments to pen his truths. The Bible is a book, filled with doctrine, which defines what is good, right and true. We exist in desperate need of the unfolded mysteries that make up the content of Scripture if we will think correctly about life and godliness.

Episode 1: Inerrancy

Episode 1: Inerrancy

The authority of Scripture is a key issue for the Christian church in this and every age. Those who profess faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are called to show the reality of their discipleship by humbly and faithfully obeying God’s written word. To stray from Scripture in faith or conduct is disloyalty to our Master. Recognition of the total truth and trustworthiness of holy Scripture is essential to a full grasp and adequate confession of its authority.

In the pilot episode of Table Talk with Tyrell, our host is joined by Lance Laughton, coordinator of the Baptist Northern Association, as they discuss the topic of inerrancy and related subjects.
